Family Fun-Independence Day weekend!
Family Fun-Independence Day weekend!
We miss Hawaii, no doubt about it. We miss the beauty, the lifestyle, the people and Evan's family. When I smell a certain smell I think of Hawaii. So many great memories! Sigh..Can't wait to visit. One blessing though about being in the mainland and living just 20-30 min from most of my siblings families is that I can spend time with them, time that no beauty in the world can make up for or replace. I love time with my family. My SIL Brittanie had her Gall Bladder removed recently and she also just gave birth to my nephew Cole, what a crazy series of events. When Evan got back from San Diego on June 30, we were able to head over to J&B house, with a bag packed and our dogs, to crash their house for a few extra hands for a few days. We (me & Evs) were on baby Cole duty for 2 nights and it was certainly a change from telling our dogs to go get in their beds!! The gassy, tired, hungry for his Momma's breastmilk not formula baby was an angel. He never pooped (constipated) but he did peed on me, that was different. I now know to keep that thing covered no matter what! HAHA. He is the sweetest baby and as different of an experience it was for me to take care of a newborn when I was suppose to be sleeping deeply like REM deep kind of sleep, it was a great experience for us and a little insider for when Heavenly Father blesses us with children. I think Mother's are given a gift when they give birth to a baby, such a special spirit. A gift of unconditional love and the ability to serve a child unconditionally. Glad to be close to family and be able to help out when we can. There is nothing better than those memories made with family.

Every year during the summer since I can remember, We always went to my Grandpa Repucci's house and had a bbq and swam in the pool. The last handful of years with me living out of state I haven't been able to attend these gatherings. It was a lot of fun to be there and have laughs and smiles. Good times.

Yes, this is a snake. My pet snake Chandler. Apparently during feeding time yesterday, I didn't close the cage all the way and Chandler, as my mother-in-law said, "decided to get some fresh air and take a walk." Oh boy was I a little freaked when I saw he wasn't in his cage. Not because he scares me but because he would be cold and I was not sure where to even start looking for him (ie: under clothes, in bags, under the bed). I couldn't remember if I left my bedroom door open and if he could be in the house somewhere..EEK! So glad I found him-I slept well!

My Husband
is WONDERFUL! Really though! He got an amazing opportunity to work the sports camps at the University of San Diego this summer. Even though we knew we wouldn't see much of eachother all summer, we knew that it was a great opportunity to take and we couldn't pass it up. Its such a sacrifice to be away from my love and I miss him like mad, but I know he is working hard and doing what he loves. Working 12-14 hour days is exhausting and yesterday, Monday, he had his first day off. What does he do?? He plays with his niece and nephews {he is staying with his sister and brother-in-law in San Marcos} and he cans strawberry jam for our family! He thought about doing it without even asking me! He worked all night to finish it and back to work he goes today. You would think he would have wanted to just do nothing because he was working so much, but he is so wonderful he thought about our family. And he even took pictures for me! I love him!

Father's Day

Thank you Dad for your good intentions, your kind heart, and your willingness to help us when we need it and others. Thank you. We appreciate it.
We had a fun family gathering at Josh and Britt's house. We had 6 dogs in the back playing and 5 kids to entertain us. Its nice when all of my siblings can get together, it never fails that we laugh our heads off. Life is great when you can appreciate the family you were born into--We are one dysfunctional group but together we somehow function!

Party with Aunt Darcy
Driving in the car back to watch the girls at their house for the night {their parents went to a concert}. We had the music nice and loud..dancing and singing the whole way!
Then we made a pitstop at the car wash and got the car cleaned. Bria was a little freaked. Nadia thought it was awesome and CJ didn't care. When we got home, we got settled. The girls munched on some food and played. After being home for about 20 min Bria ruined Naders toys she was playing with because she was being a stinker...Timeout for this girl..{she didn't even cry or care for that matter--she did her time and went on with life}

The girls were spoiled and got to stay up late. We watched a movie-How to Train a Dragon- love that movie.
Fun with the girls! Love them!
