A new Spirit joined the family

Sunday after church, we headed down to San Marcos to visit with the Uda kids and to meet our newest Uda nephew. Torin was born Saturday morning. He came so fast once they got to the hospital that Erin didn't even have time for an epidural. She went out like a champ! Last baby-No epidural! I hear that its gruesome stuff without the drugs.We sure enjoyed our visit! What a special little spirit Torin is! Its amazing to hold a newborn in my arms and realize they were just with Heavenly Father and now they are here on earth. We love you Torin!

These two always provide a good laugh too! Josh tells Rubi to sit down and she screams, "NO Dad! WE ARE PLAYING MOMMA AND BABY!" HAHA I had to cover my face it was so funny!

Just a Saturday out and about. We met up with J&B, T&M and kids for lunch at Ritchies Diner. Both families happened to be out in our direction doing some shopping so we all met up. Later, Josh & Evan had a man date and saw Act of Valor together. Evan bought the tickets and Josh bought the drink and popcorn- so cute- haha! Britt and I walked around the Tyler mall spending most of our time at Bath and Body works and just looking around for home decor. Its nice to be close to family and enjoy them. Happy Saturday!

Rubi did such a good job making the cookies in all different shapes and she made one especially for everyone in the house. She liked to eat the frosting and sprinkles more than put it on the cookies, but what 2.5 year old wouldn't! Love being so close to this girl!

I love you all year round not just today!

The Vow

Last night I went and saw a movie with my SIL Brittanie. We went and saw The Vow. 

The husbands didn't really want to see it so just us girls went and they stayed home and watched Rubi and Cole.It was such a funny, cute, sweet, and sad story. I can't believe it is a true story. It got me all teary-eyed and I started to reflect on my own covenants that I made with my hubby and what would happen if that happened to us. I sure love my hubby to pieces and I do not even know what kind of nut house I would be put in if something were to happen to him. The movie put life into perspective a little bit. Big things like, the accident on this movie and the amnesia she was forced to live with, don't happen to me everyday-knock on wood, but it got me realizing that some of the little things that Evan and I disagree about sometimes are so silly. Its almost ridiculous how the small things can get us all flustered and drive a good Spirit out of our home. I love when we are just us, and when our grumpy-moody selves don't get in the way.

Hike

We went on a hike this morning. Me,Sage, Jade and the young women of the Mt. Rubidoux ward. We hiked the Box Springs Park-Two Trees Trail {round trip about 3 miles}. The dogs loved it! Especially on the way back when I took them off their leash. It was a nice work out too! Even though Riverside, CA doesnt compare to a hike in Hawaii, it was still rugged and enjoyable.

Tony & Michelle came to my neck of the woods and were going car shopping at an auto center nearby. Really who wants to take 3 kids to a boring car lot with nothing to do. So they came over to my house and Evan and I tag teamed them. They had fun roaming in my backyard-Nadia has such an imagination, she gave me a guided tour of my back yard like it was the zoo or a nature observatory-Bria ran through our 800 sq ft house closing every door after she went through one, running in a big circle. We watched Enchanted, had Mac & Cheese for dinner and I learned that my house is really unprepared for little kids, especially in the food department. But we made due with orange slices and crazy bread from the night befores dinner. CJ & Bria splashed around in the bathub. It was a nice visit from the girls! I sure love them!

Saturday was a special day! My cousin Sarah, who has been my cousin for almost my whole life, was baptized today. Its been a road of learning and growing. A road of building a testimony. A road of recognizing the tender mercies. A road of strengthening each other and sharing experiences about faith and about just trusting our Heavenly Father. I am excited for her. It was a such a great day and she was glowing! I love you my cousin! Thank you for sharing your journey with me!
